I contribute to the research community through peer review, by mentoring students who are beginning their research careers, and through student organizations.

Peer review

• 2025 Reviewer, Neural Information Processing Systems (NeurIPS). I served as a peer reviewer for NeurIPS 2025.

Mentoring

• 2023 – 2024 Lab Lead (NLP and VR), Virtuality Labs, Information Technology University, Lahore. As Lab Lead, I mentored 17 interns and guided junior researchers across multiple projects, including the design and execution of Pakistan’s first VR classroom field experiment. I also managed research collaborations with Imperial College London, Copenhagen Business School, Toronto Metropolitan University, and Kristiania College in Norway.

Community

• Dec 2022 – Mar 2024 Co-founder and Head of Game Arts and Design, ITU Game Society, Information Technology University. I co-founded the ITU Game Society and led its game arts and design work, organizing game development workshops and eSports tournaments for hundreds of students from across the country.
